Errors 401, 402, 429 and 503: what to do

A short cheat sheet for the codes you will see most often.

401: the key is wrong or revoked. Copy it from the bot's API section again and check for a trailing space.

402: not enough balance, counting the hold for the answer. Top up in the bot.

429: more than three concurrent requests on one key. An agent that fires many parallel calls is better split across several keys.

503: the model provider is temporarily unavailable. Wait a minute and retry. A failed request is not charged.
